MICROBIOLOGY

   Microbiology is an extremely diverse and complex field of biological science that is essential to the fabric of medicine, the allied health sciences and the growing field of biotechnology. Microbiology sits at the cusp of basic and clinical sciences. This unique position allows us to contribute in an important and meaningful manner to clinical care through the provision of timely and accurate diagnosis as well as laboratory test results. Thus, the Department of Microbiology embraces the tripartite mission of the Ibrahim Medical College i.e. education, clinical service and research.
